During firing, the glaze gathers across the pitted surface and recedes into its cavities, creating variations from piece to piece. This process produces brilliant reflections and unexpected shifts in color as the glaze settles into the stone.
Fourteen reflective metallics and opaque colors, including polished and brushed unglazed surfaces, and custom sizes up to 12x12” offer broad possibilities for this distinctive stone. Geode coordinates with Magellan Fire Stone flat and concave tiles, bringing an unusual organic contrast to indoor or outdoor walls.
