The sunny colors of this line exude a festive mood and vigorous energy that proposes vitality and joy. Celeste is made up of lightly veined Smalti presented in solid, colorful sunbursts.
The mosaics of this collection are made with special glass formulation. It is the same ancient formula as Smalti, a type of glass made without molds and formulated for creating mosaics resulting in a consistent thickness, smooth surface, and lack of bubbles. Its main appeal is the deep, opaque saturation and intensity of color which is ideal for exterior or pool applications. It also has veins of colors like natural marble but in a wide range of hues.
Matiz glass tile has highly variable color and details due to both its handmade manufacturing process, temperature variables, the reaction of mineral colorants, and the use of recycled glass. Each batch is unique. The best practice is to order more than enough to finish your project as colors vary from batch to batch.
